A:A straight repeat with the same drawings, artwork, and packing runs on a shorter cycle than the first order, because the tooling, print files, and approved sample already exist. We keep the production file and the approved reference sample on record, and confirm current lead time with the reorder quotation.

What a repeat order needs
- Inputs — a purchase order, quantity per SKU, and confirmation that nothing has changed.
- Reused — tooling, print files, and the approved reference sample, unless a change is declared.
- Checked at quotation — material availability, not assumed from the last run.
- Best practice — schedule repeat runs against your planogram calendar rather than ad hoc.
What causes a reorder surprise
Almost always an undeclared change: a new color, a different carton, a new store code. Declared at quotation, it gets priced and scheduled; declared after production starts, it becomes a change order with a new date.
