A:Yes. Clip-on dividers, magnetic sign holders, and adhesive-backed pushers fit existing shelving without drilling, as long as the shelf is standard 0.8–1.5 mm steel or plastic with a flat front edge. You only need to drill where the fixture has to carry load or resist theft.

Fixing method by shelf type
- Clip-on dividers — wire or flat shelves with a front lip; they go on by hand, no tools.
- Magnetic holders — steel shelves only; check the pull force against the weight of the sign.
- Adhesive pushers and pads — smooth, degreased plastic or coated steel; let them cure 24 hours before loading.
- Drill or screw fixing — glass shelves, wood shelving, and any anti-theft pull box.
What a retrofit gives up
A clip trades holding power for convenience. On a shelf that gets restocked several times a day, a clip-on divider will drift out of position, so specify a locking clip or a screw-fixed base for the front lane, where the pushing force is highest.
