Which acrylic thickness do I need for table tents, sign holders, and POP displays?

A:2 mm is the practical minimum. 3 mm is what most table tents and A4/A5 sign holders are made from, and 5–8 mm is used where the panel is unsupported or has to carry product weight. What decides it is the free span between supports, not the overall panel size.

Thickness by application
- 2 mm — countertop table tents up to A5, light handling, short campaigns.
- 3 mm — standard A4/A5 sign holders, brochure stands, and shelf talkers; the best balance of cost and rigidity.
- 5 mm — freestanding counter displays, wide-span dividers, and high-touch hotel or clinic settings.
- 8–10 mm — unsupported POP panels, stepped risers, and anything that carries product weight.
Thicker is not automatically better
Past 8 mm, edge polishing and weight push the cost up faster than rigidity improves, and a thick panel seated in a thin slotted base will crack at the joint. Send us the span, the load, and how often staff handle the unit, and we will call out thickness and edge finish on the drawing.
